Le Creuset Stoneware Petite Pumpkin Casserole, Flame Review
Why? Because it is very small. And, it's not made of Le Creuset cast iron, but of Le Creuset stoneware -- a big difference.
That said, it's very cute and a great little pot -- I use a fleet of these to make little pumpkin breads. They're also good for pumpkin pudding (otherwise known as pumpkin pie without the crust....)
On all the little Le Creuset "petites" you need to know that the capacity is highly overstated. If it says 12 ounces, assume 10. If it says 10 ounces, assume 8. And, if like some of the fruit shapes they give you 5" x5" dimensions, just know that they're including handles and lid-knobs and the volume is probably under 8 ounces. This is okay for single servings of desert, but that's about it.
I think Le Creuset had an identity crisis about the time they started making this little "petite" line because the first ones were all really made of cast iron like the larger versions -- but then the second wave has been pottery except for the occasional slip baqck into cast iron. Being consistant is just too much trouble for them, I suppose.
